5 Diseases in Humans were also Attacking Pets

Having a pet can help keep your mental health to be able to avoid stress. It's just that when someone chooses to keep the animals themselves have to be responsible to manage well in order to be healthy always attacked by the disease.

1. Diabetes

Because of the unhealthy lifestyle diabetes problem in the world has increased. Dr. Stijn Niessen from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) said the diabetes trend is not only in humans but also pet cat.

About 30 years ago the number of type 2 diabetes in cats is one in 900, but has now risen to one in 200. Dr Stijn says the cause is too indulgent employer's pet cat.

"Cats are designed to be a hunter but now many pet cat just sat lazing in the apartment and fed in excess. It often is confused about love," said Dr. Stijn.

2. Thyroid Problems

3. Pulmonary hypertension

In humans viagra still popularly used as a medicine for erectile dysfunction.

4. FIV

If there is an infection in people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the pet cat no such thing as infection feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). In principle FIV like HIV where the virus attacks the immune system of cats.

High fever, hair loss, reduced appetite and so signs of FIV attacks in cats.

5. Epilepsy

Because epileptic seizures can also occur in pets. According to Professor Holger Volk of RCV approximately one in 100 dogs can be a seizure.

The signs are clear that a sudden strain on the animal but more difficult to see. There are medications that can be used as a preventive measure and Prof. Holger recommend pet owners to provide high-fat diet.

Cats also can have seizures but more rare than in dogs.
